Delivery Receipt Requirements

⚠️ CRITICAL REQUIREMENT

You MUST note "DAMAGED" on the delivery receipt for any and all signs of damage.

DO NOT:

  • Sign "Subject to Inspection"
  • Write specific pieces/prices
  • Use any other language besides "DAMAGED"

Note: We will NOT file a claim if the POD says any other language besides the word "DAMAGED".

What to Look For During Inspection

Thorough inspection is crucial. Check for these specific signs of damage before accepting delivery.

Box Inspection Checklist

Boxes should be free of:

  • Punctures or holes
  • Scrapes or scratches
  • Dents or crushing
  • Signs that anything was stacked on top
  • Damage to strapping
  • Water damage or moisture
  • Torn or missing labels

Take pictures of all damages before removing boxes from the skid

Pallet Inspection Checklist

The pallet should NOT be:

  • Splintered or broken in any way
  • Missing boards or supports
  • Warped or bent
  • Wet or showing water damage
  • Unstable or wobbly
  • Missing corner blocks

Take pictures after opening boxes to document concealed damage
